REVO Insurance obtains gender equality certification
The award is a testament to the Company's commitment to gender equality and inclusiveness, working to create an ever more virtuous working environment
Verona, 4 December 2024 – REVO Insurance, Italy’s first operator specialising in parametric and special risk policies for SMEs and professionals, has obtained the Italian Standards Body’s UNI/PdR 125:2022 gender equality certification, confirming the Company's commitment to promoting a working environment that is increasingly inspired by the principles of fairness and inclusion.
TÜV Rheinland, an internationally recognised independent body, certified REVO's efforts to achieve this goal following a thorough audit. Specifically, the certification was achieved due to scores the Company attained in indicators established by European legislation, covering six separate areas: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for growth and inclusion of women in the company, gender pay equity and, finally, the protection of parenthood and work-life balance.
Gender Equality Certification is an important milestone for REVO on an extremely topical issue of great ethical importance. Its achievement was one of the objectives that the Board of Directors and senior management set itself over the three-year period of the sustainability drive the Company has undertaken.
“We’re proud of this achievement, which was accomplished quickly by REVO, a young company that since its inception decided to base its identity on values such as inclusivity and gender equality. It was very important for us to provide impetus and support to this project, which is at the same time an element of organisational development and an important lever for strengthening a culture that is increasingly oriented to work-life balance and female empowerment. Our hope is that this aspect of our sustainability strategy will provide additional value in attracting and retaining personnel in the company, particularly female talent. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues on the ESG committee and the Board as a whole, as well as all the people at REVO who, in various capacities, have passionately followed the project over the past months.” – commented Antonia Boccadoro, Chairman of REVO Insurance.
This recognition is the result of a structured process, initiated during an assessment phase by TÜV on the basis of principles and parameters defined by the legislation, which involved REVO in the definition of an Action Plan that includes the establishment of a Steering Committee, the structuring of an issue management process, continuous training of people and the drafting of a Gender Equality Policy. The certification has a duration of three years and will be subject to annual review.
