REVO launches flight cancellation cover on Facile.it

Milan, 22 July 2026 – REVO Insurance, Italy’s first specialty lines and parametric solutions insurer, focused on risks for SMEs and professionals, is expanding its distribution channels and strengthening its digital innovation strategy by launching on Facile.it a new parametric policy covering the risk of flight cancellation. The product will be available for purchase directly through the platform, offering travellers a simple, immediate and fully digital solution to protect themselves against one of the most common and frustrating disruptions in air travel.

The policy, available for purchase directly on Facile.it, is designed to provide travellers with simple, hassle-free protection. For a premium of €11.75 per passenger, it covers up to four flights and provides an automatic payout of €200 per passenger if a flight is cancelled within 24 hours of its scheduled departure. The cover can be extended to multiple travellers by adding passengers at the time of purchase: the premium is simply multiplied by the number of insured passengers, while all coverage features remain unchanged.

The policy is powered by REVO’s proprietary parametric technology. Through the automatic monitoring of flights via FlightAware, the system verifies in real time whether a flight has been cancelled and, when the conditions set out in the policy are met, automatically initiates the claims settlement process. Customers receive their payout within an average of 24 hours, without the need to file a claim or submit additional documentation. Moreover, the amount paid under the policy is cumulative with any refunds or compensation that may be due under European regulations or provided by airlines.
