Artificial intelligence and (re)insurance: an open discussion on the future of the sector

The annual Hannover Re Workshop took place at Villa Gallarati Scotti, just outside Milan, and was dedicated to innovation and the new frontiers of the industry.

Simone Lazzaro, Chief Underwriting Officer, took part in the roundtable “AI in the insurance world today and tomorrow,” moderated by Ralf Boesemann.

A stimulating discussion that sparked debate on the value brought by AI within companies, on the balance between technology and human intelligence—with people remaining at the center of decision-making—and on the need to address both opportunities and emerging risks in an informed way: from organizational change to challenges related to fraud and deepfakes.
