The future of capital markets also depends on the ability to make listing a truly competitive option for businesses.
Chairman Andrea Beltratti took part in the event “2026 Shareholders’ Meeting Season and Future Outlook: The Evolution of the System”, organized by Chiomenti and Georgeson.
Now in its fourth edition, the event brought together institutional representatives and leading figures from the financial community to discuss the proposed reforms to Italy’s Consolidated Law on Finance and the Capital Markets Law. Particular attention was given to measures aimed at making the market more attractive for listed SMEs, including greater governance flexibility, reduced complexity, and lighter compliance requirements.
Commenting on the proposed reforms, Chairman Andrea Beltratti said: “The reform is moving in the right direction: simplifying the governance of listed SMEs means making them more competitive and enhancing the attractiveness of the Italian capital market. Its success will also depend on the ability to accompany it with an evolution of market rules, reducing unnecessary complexity and burdens while creating increasingly favorable conditions for business growth and long-term listing.”
