REVO Insurance: new office dedicated to maritime insurance in Genoa

With the opening of its Genoa offices, the company aims to consolidate its presence in this market

Genoa, 12 September 2023 - REVO Insurance, the only Italian operator focused on specialty lines and parametric risks for SMEs and professionals, announces the opening of its new office in Genoa, located in the prestigious setting of via Cesarea, near the Portoria district. REVO Insurance's new offices will be dedicated exclusively to the maritime insurance segment – a line in which the company aims to become a major national player.

The new location, which comes in addition to the head office in Milan and the Verona headquarters, currently employs six personnel, with plans to expand the workforce in the coming months. A place to welcome and contain different ideas and competencies united by the inclusive team spirit that characterises REVO Insurance.

The transfer of all Marine Hull cover business and the Yacht segment to Genoa is motivated by the need to consolidate its physical and direct presence in one of the most important Italian markets in the sector. REVO will thus be able to implement a series of strategic activities, some of which have already been launched: for example, membership of the Committee of Maritime Insurance Companies of Genoa. Thanks to a highly specialised range of solutions dedicated to the marine world, REVO Insurance can already offer a wide range of cover for merchant vessels and pleasure craft, as well as for shipyards.

We are very proud of the opening of the new Genoa office. This is a significant investment for the company, based on the conviction that even today, in order to operate in the field of maritime insurance, it is necessary to have a physical and direct presence in what remains the national capital of the sector," commented Matteo Mambrin, Head of Underwriting at REVO Insurance.

Thanks to the strong specialisation and consolidated experience of our team, combined with a very advanced technological set- up that distinguishes us from our competitors, we are certainly aiming to make new the offices a point of reference for all shipowners,” added Davide Giongo, Head of Marine Hull at Revo Insurance.

Located in the Quadrilatero pedestrian area, the building housing the new office was designed by master builder Francesco Ponte in the mid-19th century, after a detailed urban plan prepared by architect Carlo Barabino in 1825.

REVO Insurance, with its innovative approach and presence in a key market for Italian seafaring, thus takes a position in a sector with its roots in tradition but undergoing rapid evolution, which underscores the need for new solutions in view of the new emerging needs and the high specialisation of clients.
